Challenge: transfer legacy Excel spreadsheet complex calculations and formulas to the wholly integrated web-based platform for employees 45+ age with basic tech experience.
Goal: increase security, productivity, and system integrity.
PAINLESS TRANSFER FROM THE SPREADSHEETS
The solution considers the previous user experience that is based on the Excel spreadsheets. Those spreadsheets were used for the calculation of costs of service for large-scale, long-term (10+ years) projects related to huge data systems and server installation for customers like, Google, and IBM. Using spreadsheets with formulas for such complex work is quite outdated and bears unneeded high-security risks.
CALCULATIONS MADE SAFE
So as a team, we had to find a better way for employees of DXC technology to input data, calculate forecasts, generate different financial indicators, manage their risks, and prepare reports to keep their data safe and secure.
WORKING WITH HEAVY DATA
The big challenge was to organize heavy data content hierarchically, using different levels, charts, and tables that help employees identify and work with numbers more effectively and faster, keeping human errors at the best possible minimum.
